Giulio Iacchetti

Giulio Iacchetti, an industrial designer since 1992, designs for various brands. Among his distinctive traits are the research and definition of new object types, which earned him the Compasso d’Oro in 2001. In 2009, he was awarded the Innovation Prize by the President of the Italian Republic for the Eureka Coop project, which brought design into large-scale retail. In May 2009, the Triennale di Milano hosted a personal exhibition titled "Giulio Iacchetti. Disobedient Objects."

Always attentive to the evolution of the relationship between artisanal reality and design, in November 2012, he launched Interno Italiano, a “diffused factory” made up of many artisan workshops with which he signs and produces furnishings and accessories inspired by the Italian way of making and living.

At the same time, he has pursued his own research into new design themes, such as the cross, which led to the exhibition "Cruciale," held at the Diocesan Museum of Milan, the Basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo in Rome, and the Castle of Lombardia in Enna. In 2014, he won his second Compasso d’Oro.

With MIDJ, Giulio Iacchetti designed the Spike table, aiming to enhance the simple and natural beauty of primary geometric shapes, designed to honestly serve a static function.
