Milan Design Week 2024: MIDJ presents CREATIVE SOULS
Paola Navone, Karim Rashid, Giulio Iacchetti: here are some of the most interesting names of contemporary design that during the Milan Design Week will be sharing the exclusive MIDJ space at the Opificio 31 in Via Tortona.
“The theme that guided the showroom installation for the first MIDJ Fuorisalone is Creative Souls” declares Paolo Venier, MIDJ’s president and founder. “Each designer embodies a creative soul, evolving and exploring. The souls of the designers are like butterflies, which fly free in search of continuous suggestions and inspiration. Every moment of beauty is the beginning of a new idea.”
An installation with thousands of suspended butterflies will take visitors in an environment in which the souls of our designers, represented by the butterflies themselves, infect the space with creativity. Butterflies are the symbol of grace and beauty, with their lightness and fascinating colors. Thanks to sinuous lines and pastel colors, in every corner of Opificio 31 it will be like experiencing a magical moment of refinement.
The two floors will display new design products: from chairs by Franco Poli and Paolo Vernier, through poufs by Karim Rashid, to the modular sofa by Nicola Bonriposi, each space will also be furnished by tables designed by Giovanni Crosera and Gabriele Panciera.
Products designed by Paola Navone, Giulio Iacchetti, Michi Jung, Balutto Associati, studioPANG and Studio Pastina will also be present.
There will be two special opportunities to meet the designers:
- Tuesday, 16 April from 6.30pm: showroom inauguration with special guest Paola Navone
- Wednesday, 17 April from 6.30pm: presentation of the new pouf collection designed by special guest Karim Rashid
